Admission Inquiries
Track every inquiry from prospective students and their families.
Receiving a New Inquiry
- Go to Admissions → Inquiries.
- Click Add Inquiry.
- Fill in:
- Student name, date of birth
- Parent/guardian name and contact
- Class applying for
- Source (Walk-in, Phone, Website, Referral)
- Any notes
- Click Save.
The inquiry starts with a status of New.
Following Up on an Inquiry
- Open any inquiry from the list.
- Click Add Follow-up.
- Enter your notes about the conversation or visit.
- Click Save Follow-up.
All follow-up notes are timestamped and stored under the inquiry.
Inquiry Status Workflow
Move an inquiry through these stages as it progresses:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| New | Just received, not yet contacted |
| Contacted | You have reached out to the family |
| Scheduled | A visit or meeting has been arranged |
| Admitted | Student has been enrolled |
| Rejected | Inquiry was not converted |
To change the status, open the inquiry and select the new status from the dropdown.
Public Admission Form
Prospective parents can submit an inquiry directly through a public form. Share this link with them:
https://yourschool.geniussms.com/apply/your-school-slugSubmitted forms appear automatically in your Inquiries list.
Visitor Log
Keep a record of all visitors to the school.
Logging a Visitor Check-In
- Go to Admissions → Visitors.
- Click Check In Visitor.
- Enter:
- Visitor name
- Phone number
- Purpose of visit
- Person they are meeting
- Click Check In — the arrival time is recorded automatically.
Checking Out a Visitor
- Find the visitor in the list.
- Click Check Out — the departure time is recorded automatically.
You can see all current visitors (those checked in but not yet out) at the top of the list.
